The First-Ever Point-Of-View Action Movie Looks Absolutely Insane
A sci-fi action film called “HARDCORE” is hoping to become the first feature-length POV film to make its way into theaters.
The film is currently seeking donations on IndieGoGo so it can be finished properly. It’s already been shot, and it just needs your help to get some funding for post-production.
This isn’t just a random film project, though. It is produced by “Wanted” director Timur Bekmambetov, and it stars Sharlto Copley from “District 9.”
It is directed by newcomer Ilya Naishuller, who made an excellent first-person short called “Bad Motherf*cker” about a year and a half ago. That film blew up on YouTube, garnering over 20 million views.
Bekmambetov saw it and convinced Naishuller to work on a concept for a feature film. Naishuller did just that and produced “HARDCORE.”
The short clip from the film is freaking amazing, and I don’t think this will have any trouble reaching its funding goals. Hopefully, we can see this thing sooner rather than later.
