Miley Cyrus likes doing drugs from time to time — no surprise there.

She smoked salvia in videos and posted photos of herself smoking weed on Instagram.

Some people might have an issue with that, given her former Disney stardom, but, as we’re all well aware, she’s done everything in her power to shed that image.

Still, though, people have asked Cyrus about her recreational drug use. Yahoo!’s “Sunday Night” sat down with Miley and asked her about all that dope she smokes.

She responded in a pretty excellent way.

She said,

Do you know what hurts your brain? Googling yourself. You know what hurts your brain? Instagram.

You know what hurts your brain? Sitting there and reading the comments on Facebook. I have a 14-year-old sister and I go through her comments and people are calling her a slut, and that’s a 14-year-old. So I think that’s hurting your brain.

I put pictures of me smoking weed, I’m not going to lie, on my Instagram because I was brought up in the way that we never thought marijuana was bad.

I don’t promote it in my songs or say it, it’s not like I’m sitting around telling a bunch of kids to do a bunch of drugs.

While it is something of a straw man argument, Miley makes a fair point.

I suppose the jury is still out on weed, in some respects. But, as a whole, marijuana seems to be pretty harmless, and has even shown to have some amazing health benefits. Social media, on the other hand, is freakin’ terrible for you, especially as a kid.

Kids get cyber-bullied all the time, and the actions of these bullies have little to no consequence.

Bullying can continue ad infinitum until something tragic happens.¬†Weed never had that effect on anybody, that’s for sure.
