Jay-Z ranks his own albums, gets it almost right

I have my quibbles with Jay-Z’s ranking of his own albums — ”Brooklyn’s Finest” aside I’m not a big fan of the beats on Reasonable Doubt, and, as my colleague Jim Tankersley points out, MTV Unplugged should be on here, and high up, too — but generally I can get behind any list that has The Blueprint, The Black Album, and American Gangster in the top five, in that order. And the acknowledgment that The Blueprint pt. 2 and Kingdom Come were pretty bad is appreciated.
