Give the Gift of Unlimited Video Games This Holiday Season
Mashable’s Gift of the Day series highlights cool, interesting and fun products for that special someone on your holiday list.
Any gamer would be happy to get a cool title as a holiday gift. If you get that person two games, he or she will be ecstatic. But what if you got that person unlimited games?
GameFly is the video game version of Netflix, available to residents of the U.S. For a flat monthly fee, subscribers can access the service’s library of 8,000 console games. GameFly carries games from all the major systems, including XBox 360, PS3, Wii U and many more.
Gamers can hang on to games for as long as they like. There are no late fees involved, however, the service will not send a new game until you return the previous one. Additionally, subscribers get unlimited instant access to a growing selection of Mac and PC games, similar to Netflix’s streaming option.
As far as pricing, GameFly is more expensive than Netflix. But with the free, one-month trial, you could give someone six months of the service for less than the cost of two new video games.
Price: $15.95/month for access to one game at a time
