A new app called Lightt offers a new way to share your life with your friends. Currently available for the iPhone only, the app prompts you to capture 10-second snippets of video, and then stitch those snippets together into a longer digital reel. Videos play in chronological order, and faster than they were shot in order o make the experience easier to consume.
Also available on the web, you can follow friends on Lightt much like you can on other social networks, as well as view clips from featured users.
The third game to launch under the Zynga Partners for Mobile Program, Twist Pilot, launched this week. The game has players guide the main character Phil through 72 different levels, avoiding the sides of the screen and collecting coins in the process.
The game has Game Center integration for competing with your friends, as well as a Platinum Mode where players can earn platinum stars for beating the game developers’ best times.
A new app called Pinger launched this week in the Android market. From the same company which made the app TextFree, Pinger lets users receive free inbound calls (working like a second line on your existing phone) and earn minutes to place free international outbound calls.
“What makes Pinger truly unique is its ability to make texting and calling free to any phone number, not just other smartphones,” said Greg Woock, co-founder and CEO of Pinger. “We started out by making texting free, and now, by making calling free for Android users in the U.S. and Canada, we’re another step closer to achieving our goal of making global communications free.”
Who doesn’t love a good zombie battle? Available for iOS and Android, Zombie Toss has you travel through 4 chapters and 30 levels of zombie mayhem to collect zombie meat, which humans have discovered is delicious.
The game includes a number of different types of zombies, as well as an arsenal of weapons such as machetes, boomerangs, and chainsaws.
Think you’re quick with your fingers? A new iPad game called Finger Tied has you turn, twist, and tie your fingers in interesting ways to solve fun puzzles. The game has more than 100 different boards, and can be played solo or with a friend. A built-in puzzle editor in the game also lets you create your own challenges.
Gameloft’s Wild Blood was updated this week to improve the experience on Tegra 3 devices, including the Nexus 7 tablet.
In the game you play the role of Sir Lancelot, traveling through 10 different levels and taking on 20 different enemies, including epic bosses. The game has real-time full 3D graphics, as well as special effects powered by Unreal Technology.
